GRAFTON, W.Va. (WV News) — Manley Vincent Mayle passed away on March 24, 2024.
He was born in Grafton, WV, on August 21, 1946, and graduated from Newark High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel Mayle and Helen Mayle, brothers, Lemuel Mayle, Jr. Ronald Mayle, and sisters, Louise Mayle and Loretta Kennedy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Mayle; his children, Vincent Mayle J(Jam) of Newark, Delaware, Tracy Buck (Jim) of Pennsylvania, Robert Melton (Candi) of Newark, DE, and Joseph Mayle (Diane) of Rivesville; his sister, Sue Smithmyer of Grafton; and Lovell Mayle of Bruceton Mills, as well as nine grandchildren, three great-granchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He proudly served his country in Vietnam as a sailor in the Navy. He was an avid hunter and an active member of the VFW. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to Special Select, c/o Dan Dunmyer, 1200 JD Anderson Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at the West Virginia National Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Minard officiating. Military honors accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and US Navy.
