PINE GROVE, W.Va. (WV News) — Pauline Mae Swiger, 90, of Folsom, WV, went home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, while at UHC in Clarksburg, WV.
Pauline was born December 23, 1933, in Wallace, WV, daughter of the late Leonard and Muriel (Eddy) Higgins.
She was a homemaker, volunteered for twenty years at UHC, enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and loved being a member at Folsom Pentecostal Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orval J. Swiger; sister, Betty Gump; four brothers, Billy Higgins, Donald Higgins, and two infant brothers; and son-in-law, Lemoyne Rose.
Surviving are two sons, David (Jennifer) Swiger and Michael Swiger, both of Folsom, WV; two daughters, Sharon (Steve) Yoho and Janet (Michael Franks) Rose, both of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Ruth Greer of Wisconsin and Mary Gump of Wallace, WV; seven grandchildren, David (Racquel Ring) Swiger, Stacie (Stephanie) Swiger, Kristen Swiger, Garrett (Heather McDougal) Swiger, Maggie (Cris) York, Ashley Jarvis and Todd Yoho; twelve great- grandchildren, Rylea, Tyson, Layden, Londen, Lance, Braelynn, Camden, Peyton, Abel, Cameron, Lilli and Kaylee; sister-in-law, Gloria Higgins of Clarksburg, WV; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received 3-7 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy., Pine Grove, where services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, with Pastor Leroy Haught officiating. Burial to follow in Wallace Lion’s Club Cemetery.
