CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Judith Ann Suan, 81, of Suds Run Road, Mt. Clare, WV, passed away March 6, 2024, at United Hospital Center after an extended illness.
She was born on June 19, 1942, a daughter of the late William and Mary Post.
Judith married Reginald Suan on January 3, 1960, who preceded her in death on September 1, 2023.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Jean Wetzel.
Judith is survived by three children: William Suan and wife Priscilla of Johnstown, WV, Mary Jane Marker and husband Bryan of Grantsville, MD, and Robert Suan and fiancée, Annette Wright of Johnstown, WV; a loving sister, Linda Lemasters, and husband Ted of Bridgeport, WV; and a special niece, Sharon Talbott, and husband Chris of Blue Lick; as well as several nieces and nephews; five grandchildren: Sarah E. DeWeese and husband Joshua, Taylor N. Lynch, Andrew J. Maltba and wife Shelby, Amanda B. Curry and partner Timothy DeBerry II, Alyssa L. Tillman and husband Michael; seven great-grandchildren: Mattie Curry, Hayden Maltba, Easton Amtower, Charlotte Maltba, Asher Maltba, Rowan Tillman and Porter DeWeese.
Judith graduated from Roosevelt-Wilson High School in 1960. Judy devoted her life to her husband, Reginald, and their children. She supported “Reg” with his business, Reg’s Cabinet Shop, for 50 years, serving as bookkeeper and manager.
She worked tirelessly to provide entertainment at her home for the entire family. She hosted rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, prom dinners, picnics, and graduation parties. She loved gardening and decorating all year long. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of the Johnstown CEOS, Johnstown Senior Citizens and the Quiet Dell Garden Club.
Judith’s children would like to thank the staff at Manchin’s Assisted Living, Amedisys Hospice, the staff at UHC who cared for her until her passing, Pastor George Bramble, her neighbors, and the community for all the cards and phone calls. A special thanks to Pastor Shari Stilgenbauer for being with the family during this difficult time.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 E. Main Street, Clarksburg, WV, on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Shari Stilgenbauer presiding. Interment will follow at the Johnstown Cemetery.
