WEST UNION — MarkWest Energy Partners is selling about 40 miles of gas pipelines and two compressor stations at the Sherwood complex in Doddridge County to Summit Midstream Partners for $210 million. The sale should be finalized by the end of the month, according to a company spokesman.

MarkWest will continue to own and operate the complex, which has plans to expand with two more plants at the facility by mid-2014 to process 800 million cubic feet a day, said Kevin Hawkins, investor relations manager.

The sale also includes certain rights-of-way associated with the pipeline and the stations which total over 21,000 horsepower of combined compression, Hawkins said.
