NUTTER FORT — Helen L. Moore, 76, of Clarksburg passed away on July 25, 2013, at the United Hospital Center of an extended illness.
She was born in Anmoore, WV, on September 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Ernest Mace and Mable Carr Mace.
Her husband, Orval Moore, preceded her in death on February 6, 1993.
She is survived by one brother, Lee R. Mace and wife Barbara of Laurel Valley; one sister, Ethel Veltri of Nutter Fort; one sister-in-law, Diane Carr of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews; and good friends, John and Betty Benda of Anmoore and Michael and Alice Baughman of Clarksburg.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Hayward Carr, Ernest Mace Jr. and Eugene “Dickie” Mace, and two sisters, Irene Bourne and Ruth Callighan.
Mrs. Moore was retired from Anchor Hocking, formerly a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a very loving sister and aunt who will be greatly missed.
Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St., Nutter Fort, on Monday, July 29, 2013, from 3-7 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend O.D. Harman presiding.
Interment will follow at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
