PINE GROVE — Chester R. ‘Jack’ Stout, 83, of Folsom, WV, passed away at his residence on June 11, 2013.
He was born April 30, 1930, in Smithfield, W.Va., a son of the late William Jefferson Stout and Bernice Pearl Lipscomb Stout.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline “Madge” Stout, on Nov. 6, 2011.
Jack also was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert “Jake” Stout, Francis “Scott” Stout, Franklin “Dwight” Stout, William “Bill” Stout and one infant brother; five sisters, Jettie Osenbaugh and four infants.
Jack is survived by four children, Diane (Darrell) Hayhurst of Folsom, WV, Terry Stout and companion Connie Coburn of Wallace, WV, William (Debbie) Stout of Wallace, WV, Mike (Kelley) Stout of Alma, WV, and his best friend, Sid Hickman; 12 grandchildren, Mendy (Jamie) Underwood, Abby Hayhurst, Janie (Ed) Cox, Tina Holt, Dustin Stout, Valerie (Andrew) Long, Audra (Jason) Moyers, Micheal Stout, Alex Stout, Max Stout, Maggie Stout and Bobby Earnest; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; three stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren. Also survived by four sisters, Ruth Corrigan of Elizabeth, WV, Helen Myers of Woodsfield, Ohio, Norma Gean Fulton of Marietta, S.C., and Susie (Ronnie) Talkington of Mannington, WV; and two brothers, Steven (Shirley) Stout of Adel, Iowa, and Jimmie (Joy) Stout of Middlefield, Ohio.
Jack worked for the railroad for 43 1/2 years. He loved to fish and coon hunt. He also attended the Folsom Pentecostal Church.

Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, WV, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Gary Dennison officiating.
