CLARKSBURG — Police were on the scene of an apparent robbery at the Dollar General store on Milford Street Wednesday afternoon, Clarksburg Police Chief of Detectives Lt. Jason Snider said.
“It is very early in the investigation. We got a report that two males snatched a bank bag from an employee as she was leaving the store about 3:30 p.m.,” Snider said.
According to reports, the two white males fled on foot toward Hart Street with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police canvassed the area but did not locate any individuals matching the description, Snider said late Wednesday afternoon.
Detective Sgt. Jason Webber will be the lead investigator.
“He is reviewing surveillance video and conducting interviews. Both of the men were described as being in their mid-20s. One was shirtless, and one was wearing a black shirt,” Snider said.
