Lawsuit filed in circuit court over Salem recall election

SALEM — A citizen of Salem trying to force a recall election for four council members has moved to a new arena: Harrison County Circuit Court.

Resident Kenneth Truex, without an attorney representing him, filed the petition for a writ of mandamus. The filing vs. Salem City Manager Joe Davis and Salem City Clerk Kayla Lowther wants them to show why they haven’t scheduled the recall election for council members Laurie McKowen, Israel Williams, Bobby Knight and Doug Fischer.
