ELKINS — State Police Cpl. Andrew Loudin, who was shot twice in the chest by a probable suspect in a crimes against children case in Elkins on Thursday, is expected to make a full recovery.

William David Dumire, 55, of Elkins shot Loudin at the home of Dumire’s ex-wife, State Police First Sgt. Michael Baylous said. Loudin was not wearing a bullet-resistant vest, he said.
