Forum on preventing school violence held at RCB

CLARKSBURG — On the same day President Barack Obama unveiled a sweeping plan to help reduce gun violence in the country, Sen. Joe Manchin was in Clarksburg to gather ideas on how to prevent violence from entering schools.

Manchin, D-W.Va., as well as several other state and local officials, hosted a roundtable discussion at Robert C. Byrd High School Wednesday to hear the viewpoints of educators, school administrators, law enforcement, prevention resource officers, students and community leaders.
