CLARKSBURG — A gunshot was fired last Friday inside the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, The Exponent Telegram has learned.
“On Friday, Feb. 27, there was an accidental discharge of a concealed weapon. There was no injury to patients, staff or visitors,” said Wesley Walls, spokesman, releasing a statement from Beth M. Brown, director of the Louis A. Johnson VA Healthcare System.
Walls confirmed that no weapons are permitted on federal property.
However, he declined to answer any further questions, saying he was only authorized to release the statement.
